If you Miss The
Covenant of God,
Your Ministry Will Die!
/ Pastors of Promise
/ Ann's Review (2013)/ After Reading A Book
of Jack Hayford!
/ By Priscilla
The Christian life is
to know God, to know ourselves,
and to understand the world
we live in.
Pastor Jack Hayford, has
moral authority and spiritual
authority as a leader of
the renewal of the church,
and he possesses sincerity
and faithfulness with
extraordinary intelligence,
special talents and skills.
He is definitely a minister
with the covenant of God.
He pursues a dynamic life
with a sense of balance,
and shows us that he
is faithfully carrying out
his pastoral ministry
through his own writings.
The purpose of this
book is to ask,
“What is the basis
for the minister on this earth
to bear abundant fruit in
his ministry?”
Also, for this purpose,
it correctly suggests
and informs what kind
of mindset the minister
should have.
With such an attitude of heart,
all the ministers can bear
fruit in themselves,
their hearts, their families,
their married lives, their studies,
and in their walks with God.
They can also bear fruit
in all their lives, including
personal counseling,
church
and public leadership,
dealing with men and women,
relationships with staff, and
access to the community.
To this end, he emphasizes that
ministers should be models
of diligence, sincerity
(faithfulness) for the Lord,
and loyalty to serve the church.
A minister who has maintained
his position of faithfulness
in God's amazing grace must
have seriously thought about
how to use God's work
effectively and practically.
With this question,
the author offers us
several ways.
1. He informs us that the
minister has his responsibility
to make men into husbands
or fathers who truly serve
God through biblical training.
2. He tells us that the minister
should act as a map,
instructing his saints to avoid
obstacles in the desert.
3. Through this book,
he teaches a methodology
to go through the pastoral
process with sincerity
and leadership.
4. He wrote this book
with a personal depth for
leaders called by God.
5. He comforts and encourages
them to become ministers
with responsibility.
God has given ministers
the great covenant of God
in this age,
and his writings come to us
as a practical guide to
help the kingdom of
God be fulfilled.
Therefore it is most
important for us to correctly
recognize the position
and office of the minister
from the author's viewpoint.
My husband planted
a church with me in 1996
and now, 7 years later,
in 2013, as I'm writing this,
whenever I look back on
our ministry so far,
I cannot but testify that
God’s providence is
so amazing.
Although
it is a short period.
Here are conclusions
I have come to through
our church.
The church must be
in a ministry controlled
by God the Holy Spirit,
the absolute standard.
In addition, in order to
become a leader of
competent service,
the minister must come
before God with trust,
humility,
and obedience
above all else.
One thing we must keep
in mind is that if we miss
God's covenant while doing
ministry, our ministry
can be destroyed.
Through various experiences
throughout my recent pastoral
ministry, this book has served
as a breath of fresh air for me,
who was spiritually depressed
and fed up with the common
affairs of human relationships
and the church.
Sometimes I cry
because I am weak,
but from now on,
I will not give in to this
and will stand up again
by relying on Jesus.
In the arms
of the Almighty God,
I will be restored again
as a minister who reaffirms
God's call to possess
the covenant of God,
and I will have to straighten
my heart with the comfort
of the Lord and guard my
heart even more!
"Above all else, guard
your heart, for it is the
wellspring of life."
(Proverbs 4:23)
God has made his mind
in advance from the
beginning of the ages,
and has called my husband
and me as servants in turn.
What will our duty as
servants be?
"Be sure you know the
condition of your flocks,
give careful attention
to your herds."
(Proverbs 27:23)
I had supported
my husband's ministry
for 7 years after planting
the church,
and I have been finally
called as a servant.
How important it is
to live with the words
of God's covenant that
He has also allowed me
to write on the tablet
of my heart!
Of the words of God's
covenant given every day,
there is a scripture
of 'Rhema', which my
husband has liked
all the time.
"Do your best to present
yourself to God as one approved,
a workman who does not
need to be ashamed
and who correctly
handles the word of truth."
(2Tim 2:15)
My priority is to help
my husband who is already
pursuing the life of a shepherd,
servant, and manager
who keeps the flock.
And in order to be taken
as another servant of God,
I will do my best to be a faithful
servant of God in my life.
God, who called me,
said that he would use me
who was not good enough,
so I entered the Probationary
Pastor Training Course
according to His will.
I am only thankful,
believe in him, respond with
Amen, and move forward.
"But he knows the way
that I take; when he has
tested me, I will come
forth as gold."
(Job 23:10)
Therefore, I don't need to
be afraid that God calls
me and trains me.
Also, I must be alert
and correct my posture,
and no matter what happens,
I must never let go of the
words of God's covenant
with me!
-Hallellujah!
Amen
