    Count On God And

    Overcome Fear 61

    [Psa 27:1-5]

    / Anne's Faith Column

    /  By Priscilla

    "The LORD is my light

    and my salvation--

    whom shall I fear?"

    “The LORD is my light

    and my salvation--

    whom shall I fear?

    The LORD is the

    stronghold of my life-

    - of whom shall I be afraid?

    When evil men advance

    against me to devour

    my flesh, when my enemies

    and my foes attack me,

    they will stumble and fall.

    Though an army besiege me,

    my heart will not fear;

    though war break out

    against me, even then

    will I be confident.

One thing I ask of the LORD,

    this is what I seek:

that I may dwell in the

    house of the LORD

all the days of my life,

    to gaze upon the beauty

    of the LORD

and to seek him in his temple.

For in the day of trouble

    he will keep me safe

    in his dwelling;

he will hide me in the shelter

    of his tabernacle and

set me high upon a rock.“

    (Psa 27:1-5)

    How comforting this

scripture is to each of us!

    The help of the Lord

    is definitely indispensable

    to each of us.

    No matter what the

    circumstances,

    the Lord never leaves

    our sides and comforts us,

    so we no longer need

    to feel fear.

    We must overcome

    the fear that comes upon

     each of us every moment.

    We belong to the Lord.

    When we are under the

    hand of Almighty God,

    we can truly enjoy true

    peace and rest.

    "The LORD is the

    stronghold of my life

--of whom shall I be afraid?"

    (Psa 27:1)

    As David confessed,

    the LORD is the stronghold

of our lives, so we need

    no longer to focus on

    making people pleased.

    Although Jesus suffered

    from people's blasphemy,

    insults, and all kinds

    of gossip, Jesus did

    not waver at all.

    We should not waste

    our time trying to

    excuse ourselves for

    the people around

    us any longer.

    We should not deviate

    from the essence of faith

    under any circumstances.

    Only what we want

is to fear God and focus

    on doing things that

    please God.

    Then we no longer have

    to fear our enemies

    and evildoers.

    We should pay more

    attention to the

    following the scripture.

    "Though an army besiege me,

    my heart will not fear;

    though war break out

    against me, even then

    will I be confident."

    (Psa 27:3)

As we see in the scripture

    above, from now on,

for the rest of our lives,

    we must strive to become

    children of God who gaze

    upon the LORD even more.

    If so, we will become

    children of God who praise

    our Heavenly Father

    more joyfully,

    and we will have

    a rewarding life

    because of the LORD

    who is our stronghold.

    Prayer

    Lord!

    I sincerely thank You.

    You make my life

    rewarding and joyful.

I count on You who never

    change your mind.

    Lord!

    You make no mistakes

    so I am no longer

    concerned or afraid.

I go out relying on You,

    my Lord, who defeats all

    enemies every moment.

    May You, who are mighty

    in war, personally defeat

the enemies that come to me.

    You who prepare a table

    before me in the presence

    of my enemies!

May You lead me to green

    pastures and beside

    quiet waters!

    Amen.
