Go Into The Ark, You
And Your Whole Family 59
[Gen 7:1-16]
/ Anne's Faith Column
/ By Priscilla
Before God sent rain
on the earth for forty days
and forty nights,
Noah brought into the ark
several pairs of animals
according to their kind
along with his whole family.
God determined to destroy
the world where sin
was widespread
and rampant, and had the
entire family of Noah,
who feared God, build the ark
as He instructed them to.
And when they completed
the ark, God commanded him
and his whole family to
enter the ark.
Moreover, we can see
God's intention to preserve
all kinds of living animals,
livestock
and every kind of bird,
in male and female,
under His plan to wipe
His mankind and
all living creatures
from the face of earth.
How would God feel
when He decided to send
rain on the earth forty days
and forty nights
and completely wipe out
all mankind and all living
creatures that He had
created?
Man's plans and hearts
were wicked enough
to grieve God.
How could we humans
like dust and ashes guess
the heart of God who
lamented this?
However, from a human
point of view, I can't imagine
how much my heart would
hurt if my child were in
such a situation.
At this moment today,
the Lord also commands us.
Heavenly Father said,
'Go into the ark, you and
your whole family.'
He wants us to fully obey
and fulfill the Lord's
will and word.
In other words,
above all else, the church
should firmly establish
the function of the ark,
and God tells us,
His children, to enter
the church, which is the
ark of Jesus Christ.
God tells us to enter the
church where Jesus Christ
is the ark and the center,
so that families, neighbors,
and the world must also enter
the church that is the ark
of Jesus Christ.
Someday the Lord will
come again and command us
to gather and bring all those
who have ears into the ark,
where the work of salvation
will be accomplished until
the believers are raptured.
God tells us to properly
teach those who have been
called (ecclesia) by
God's choice
in a dark world so that
they can dwell in the work
of which they are sure.
And God tells us to
diligently proclaim
the 'good news'
(εὐαγγέλιον)
and bring them into
the ark and gather them.
Therefore, by God's grace,
we, who have been his children
first, must diligently spread
the gospel around us
and rescue unbelievers
before the door of
salvation is closed.
In this way, we must
become God's workers
who are able to awaken
and bring up those who
will enter the ark.
Therefore, we who
have received God's command
must be willing to participate
in God's clear work of salvation
in obedience, just as Jesus did,
no matter where we are,
in season and out of season.
Therefore, in order to
carry out God's will,
we must not neglect keeping
our hearts alert while
following the path opened
by Jesus' sacrifice.
Therefore, we must faithfully
pursue God's salvation work
according to God's holy
command on earth
that has been planted in our
hearts as His children.
And we must do our best
to fulfill the mission
entrusted to us until Jesus,
who is my ark and my savior,
will come again.
Prayer
Lord.
I'm not good enough
to carry out the mission
entrusted to me,
but, I want to follow
the orders that you have
given me through your
obedience, relying on
loving grace of you Jesus.
I am just thrilled that
you have me participate
in the work of salvation.
But I believe that
while you use me,
the light of the Lord will
shine on through me.
I hope that you will
lead me to become a true
disciple entering the ark
of salvation!
