    Dualistic Structure2

    (Dilemma Of Christian Life)

    [1 John 2:15-17]

    /Anne's Column of Faith

    / By Pastor Priscilla

    "Do not love the world

    or anything in the world.

    If anyone loves

    the world, the love

    of the Father is not

    in him.

    For everything in the

    world the cravings

    of sinful man,

    the lust of his eyes

    and the boasting of

    what he has and does

    comes not from the

    Father but from

    the world.

    The world and

    its desires pass away,

    but the man who does

    the will of God lives

    forever. "

     (1 John 2:15-17)

    There are two types

    of citizens in this world:

    citizens of heaven

    and those of the world.

While I live in this world,

    there is a question that

    comes to me repeatedly:

    "Will I follow God's will?

    Or will I follow the

    world's will?”

    But the Lord said,

    "Do not love the world

     or anything in the world.

    For everything

    in the world the cravings

    of sinful man,

    the lust of his eyes

    and the boasting of

    what he has and does

     comes not from the Father

    but from the world.

    These things

    belong to the world.

    Once the world

    and its desires

    pass away like dust,

    they get to disappear

    without any trace.

But, the one who fears God

    looking to him and does

    the will of God lives

    forever with his words."

    Remembering these words,

every day, I make my mind

to live a life of victory in God.

If so, as a person with the

    citizenship of Heaven,

    How should I live

    in this world?

     1) As a Christian to live

    a consecrated life, it is

    important to remember

    that there are responsibilities

    and obligations to be one.

When I' m asked to do

    something worldly, I should

    refuse that definitely.

     2) I should not compromise

    with the worldly.

    The reason why I should

not do that is that the

    world is a moment,

    and the kingdom

    of God is eternal.

     3) I should not justify

    what is not worthy

    of God's will.

    In other words,

    I should not self-rationalize

    by substituting my will

    into God's will.

    Prayer

    Gracious Lord.

    I admit there are times

I love  and love the world

    more than You.

    But, You said:

    "Do not conform

    any longer to the

      pattern of this world."

    I confess that

    there are times

    I' m not a real Christian

    and act like a person

    who belongs

    to the world,

    dwelling on the

    corruption in the world

    caused by evil desires,

    Also, I find myself busy

     with worldly affairs.

    Please, let me have

    wisdom from You,

    and guide me to be

    a real christian whose

    citizenship is in Heaven.

    Amen.

    Anne's Review

     / By Priscilla

This was one of my diaries

     I kept in 1992,

    when I was refined

    and testedharshly by God,

    and I've posted it again.

    In those days,

when I read the Bible daily,

    God let me experience

    the special grace  that the

    written words of God

    turned into the spoken

    words of God,

    which is called, -'Rhema'.

     How wonderful and gracious!

    I always remember

    the wonderful moments

when I met Him in His words.

I kept such a gracious time

with God in my spirit and

also left it in my diary,

      whenever I met Him

    in His words.

    Even though I live with

    wordly people on this earth,

    as a distinctly chosen

    people of God,

I will live a vitorious life

    in this world confidently

    and proudly, never

    losing my self-esteem

    until l go to heaven,

    just as the smelt living

    in the sea finally returns

to the river that is its

    original hometown

    while going through

    various hardships in its

    overflowing.

    These are my lessons

    I've gotten from my life

of faith at a cost of

    great sacrifice.

     God, who is good, knows

the wishes of each one of us,

and until the day we fulfill

    our hopes,

he will be with us all

    the time to strengthen

    our weaknesses

    and also fill our lacknesses

    refining us and testing our

    hearts unless we give up

    trust in God.
