Put Your Hope

 In The LORD 26

[Psalm 131:1-3]

My heart is not proud,

O LORD, my eyes

are not haughty;

 

 

I do not concern

myself with great

matters or things too

wonderful for me.

 

 

 

 

But I have stilled

and quieted my soul;

like a weaned child

with its mother,

 

 

 

like a weaned child

is my soul within me.

 

 

 

 

O Israel,

put your hope

in the LORD

 

 

 

both now

and forevermore.

 

 

 

In order to accomplish

some work in the Lord,

we believers must follow

the will of the Lord

 

 

 

and make

a reasonable plan,

maintain peace,

and hope in the Lord

and fulfill it.

 

 

 

When setting most goals,

we take two approaches.

 

 

 

One is man-centered

approach and the other

is God-centered one.

 

 

 

Therefore, all plans,

specific methods,

 

 

 

and the structure of

a careful plan are markedly

different depending on

the approach taken.

 

 

 

The Lord reminds us

that no matter how

amazing our reasoning

and creativity are, with

dreams and visions,

 

 

 

we must not

go forward ahead of God

in its methods and details,

 

 

 

even if we proceed

based on the definite

promises that the goal

 has already been fulfilled.

 

 

 

Therefore, it is necessary

to return the initiative

in life to God,

 

 

 

and we should never

go forward alone

arbitrarily

 

 

 

Even when we are

pursuing the actual work

planned in God,

 

 

 

we should not forget

that we should go forward

with the peace that only

those who obey

to God can feel,

 

 

 

and the joy overflowing

with the river of living water, 

 

 

 

It is more important

to set a value standard

 

 

 

on the process through

which we reach the goal

rather than on a sense

of accomplishment

 

 

 

that the standard

of life is what we achieve.

 

 

 

It is the most valuable

thing to be a good

instrument used to 

 

 

 

expand the kingdom 

of God, feeling the breath

and gentle voice of

God behind me.

 

 

 

We must keep in mind

that we must be

recognized and trusted

by Him through a close

bond with God.

 

 

 

Most of all,

in order to become a

united person

with God,

 

 

you must hope in God

and run toward God

like a racer without

looking back. 

 

 

 

Therefore, in order to

accomplish the ministry

with God, who gives us

new hope, living hope,

 

 

 

and constant passion,

we should hope

in only God silently,

 

 

 

passing through 

a long process

of refinement

 

 

 

something

like 'one pine tree'

with patience.

You who yearn for

the love of God,

 

 

 

You who look to

the peace of God,

 

 

 

You know how much

our Lord, who created

all about you, loves you?

 

 

 

You who praise

and worship God,

You who take after

God's goodness,

 

 

 

Our Lord, who created

all about you, made

you His child.

 

 

 

God watches you

anytime with His

eyes of love.

 

 

 

God always listen

to you with His

 generous ears.

 

 

 

He shines the bright

light on you who are

in the darkness. 

 

 

 

He responds

to your faint groan,

 

 

 

Wherever you are,

please turn to the Lord.

Only look to the Lord.

Only hope in the Lord.

 

 

 

Prayer

 

 

 

Lord! 

Thank you for opening

our spiritual eyes.

 

 

 

Only by looking

to the LORD and hoping

in the LORD, help us

to realize us like

 

 

 

'Solomon's

confession!

 

 

 

-'It is man's duty

to fear God and keep

his commands,'

(Eccl 12 : 13)
