The Life
That Imitates Christ 95
(Paul Who Was In The Pains
Of Childbirth For His
Children Of Faith)
[Gal 3:19-29]
/ Anne's Faith Column
/ By Priscilla
God wants our hearts to be filled
with Jesus Christ and His love
and joy all the time.
The Christian life is an expensive
one that can be achieved '
through daily retraining.
The saints of the Galatian
churches treated Paul with
love and joy, and welcomed him
like an angel, even though
he was ill.
However, as time passed away,
their hearts gradually became cold,
and the relationship they had
had before was broken.
On the contrary, as 'Paul' preached
the true gospel, they treated Paul like
an enemy and turned into a
bad relationship.
'Why on earth did that happen?'
This is actually something that
could happen in the relationship
with fellow believers, so
I ask myself.
God also tells me the following
about the relationship with Him.
"Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life."
Even among the fellow believers
who belonged to the Galatian
churches at that time, there were
those who tried to separate
the saints from the gospel
Paul taught them.
There were zealots everywhere,
and sometimes they did harm
to the preaching of the gospel.
Nevertheless, Paul did not see
their apostasy but looked
only to God.
He did not spare even the labor
of childbirth toward them.
In Paul's heart, we can feel the
heartbreak of the father who
had a prodigal son.
Therefore, today 'Paul'
repeatedly shouts to us
living in the modern age.
"Be zealous for good things"
“Do not spare your labor until
you are formed into the
image of Christ.”
What should we do, then?
1) Since the 'Apostle Paul' tried
to imitate 'Jesus', we must take
his attitude as an example, too.
2) I should make it sure that
my own zeal is not selfish at all.
3) When striving to improve human
relationships, we must look
to God, not people.
Prayer
Lord!
We are not perfect.
Help us to be as generous as Paul,
who did not hesitate to have the
pains of childbirth for his
children of faith.
Amen
