    You Are Blessed

    By The LORD93

    [Gen 26:28-29]

     / Anne's Faith Column

God's love for Isaac, who had

    been disturbed by his neighbors,

    allowed him to receive more

    abundant blessings than

       anyone else.

    Once God blesses you,

    no one can stop it.

    When 'Isaac' grew prosperous

    due to God's blessing and

    eventually became so wealthy,

    the Philistines who lived nearby

envied him and did not hesitate

to stop up, filling all the

    wells with earth.

In those days, the well was

    the most necessary source

    of their lives.

    'Abimelech', the king

of the Philistines, also felt a

sense of crisis, so he feared

    and ordered Isaac to leave.

    However, even when they

    pushed Isaac into an environment

where he could be in trouble,

    God never neglected him.

    Wherever he went, when

    he dug wells, he provided

    the most precious water

    for his survival.

    Then, when Isaac was

deprived of his wells and he

    was afraid in Beersheba, that

    night God appeared and

    comforted him.

    "I am the God of

    your father Abraham.

    Do not be afraid,

    for I am with you;

I will bless you and will

    increase the number of your

    descendants for the  sake

    of my servant Abraham."

    (Gen 26:24)

    The blessing that came to

Isaac as a child of God is the

    same for us today.

    The blessings of God that

    have come upon us serve

as an example in front of

    unbelievers

    and must be

    recognized as those who

    have been blessed by God.

    Immediately after that,

    King Abimelech and his men

    from the neighboring country who

had driven him out came to him

and pleaded with him to make

    a peace treaty.

    Isaac wondered about this

    and asked them,

"Why did you come to me?"

They confess in the text of

    the Bible as follows.

    "They answered,

"We saw clearly that the LORD

was with you; so we said,

'There ought to be a sworn

    agreement between us'-

    -between us and you.

Let us make a treaty with you

that you will do us no harm,

just as we did not molest you

    but always treated you well

and sent you away in peace.

    And now you are blessed

    by the LORD."

    (Gen 26:28-29)

That's why there was a peace

    treaty signed between

    Isaac and them.

After they went back in peace,

Isaac heard from his servants that

    they had gotten water from

    the well they had dug.

    When we serve God,

    sometimes God tests us.

    Among many people, we shoud

live like the people of the

    holy kingdom of God.

    Therefore, we should have

    a peaceful relationship with God

    and a smooth relationship

    with people.

    In addition, we should be

    separated from the world and

     live a holy life, glorifying

    God only.

    When we live together with

unbelievers who do not know God,

we should live a godly life, separated

from the world, as those who

    serve God well.

    Today's scripture shows how

important it is for us to set a

     good example as believers.

    There must be an environment

in which others can clearly see

and feel that God is with me,

    and its fruit must definitely

    follow it.

    Then, with what attitude

    and determination should we live?

    1) We should live in obedience to God.

We should live a life of obedience

    with the determination to give

our lives to God like Isaac.

    In addition,

we should become people of faith

    who practice obedience to God,

    realizing that wherever Issac was,

God granted him a well, and

    even greater blessings came

    upon him.

    2) We should live in union with

    God by faith, convinced that

we are the branches of the

    vine that are constantly

    supplied by God.

    3) To the Gentiles, as believers,

    we should become the instruments

    of God's righteousness that

    sound an alarm to those

    around us.

    Prayer

We want to experience God's grace

    deeply and become people

    of blessing who live with

    God's grace like Isaac.

Give us the wisdom of life

so that even if we live in the world,

we will not lack anything as

    children of God who are

    distinct from the world.

    We give thanks for supplying

the well that never runs dry,

    in spirit, soul, and body

    throughout life.

    Lord!

    We are those

    who have been bless

    Amen
