    You, Man Of God 40

    [1 Tim 6:11-16]

    / Anne's Faith Column

    / By Priscilla

    "But you, man of God,

    flee from all this, and

    pursue righteousness,

    godliness, faith, love,

    endurance and

    gentleness.

    Fight the good

    fight of the faith.

    Take hold of the

    eternal life to which

    you were called when

    you made your good

    confession

    in the presence

    of many witnesses."

    (1Tim 6:11-12)

    The man of God

    must strive to think

    differently from

    the world.

To do this, each of us

    needs deep meditation

    on the God of creation

    and salvation.

    Today's scriptures

    begin with 'Only you,

    man of God!'

    It makes a profound

    impact on our hearts.

    And an irresistible

    wave of grace comes

    rushing in, making us

     feel touched.

As we live on this earth,

    God enlightens us

    appropriately and gives

    us a way to escape!

    The Lord wants us

    to live a sanctified life

    with a determined

    attitude, when we live

    in this world.

    However, even if

    we try to follow it

    in everything,

it is not easy to live

    without turning aside

    and partiality.

    So, God, who is good,

    wants to give us a

    satisfying life today

    and teaches us

    as follow:

    (1 Tim 6:3-10)

    1) No one should teach

    false doctrines.

    And he must focus on

    the sound instruction

    of our Lord Jesus Christ

    and to godly teaching.

    2) He understands

    nothing and he is

    conceited in front

    of God and people,

    and he is advised not

    to have an unhealthy

    interest in controversies

    and quarrels about words.

    That's because it gives

    rise to envy, strife,

    malicious talk,

    evil suspicions,

    and constant friction

    between men of

    corrupt mind,

    who have been robbed

    of the truth and who

    think that godliness is a

    means to financial gain.

    On the contrary,

    godliness with

    contentment is

    great gain.

    Anyway,

    we came naked,

    and will go naked,

    and if we have food

    and clothing that the

    Lord has provided,

    we are urged to know

    that we are content

    and live happily

     and thankfully.

    And also we are urged

    to know that people

    who want to get rich

    fall into temptation

    and a trap and

    into many foolish

    and harmful desires

    that plunge men into

     ruin and destruction.

    Furthermore we should

    keep in mind that the

love of money is a root

    of all kinds of evil.

    Some people,

    eager for money,

    have wandered from

    the faith and pierced

    themselves with

    many griefs.

    (1 Tim  6:3-10)

    The above scriptures

    tell us what to avoid

    and what to take while

    living on this earth.

    That is

    Absolutely right!

    Because God

    doesn't want us

    to turn aside,

    please keep in mind

    that He always

    emphasizes

    and commands us

    over and over again,

    'Meditate on the Law

    day and night,

    but do not turn aside

to the left or to the right'!

    (Jos 1:7-8)

    Those who stray

    from the proper line and

    do not end worldly desires.

    Formal things that

    are grounded and

    based on faith, only by

    observing the law.

    The hearts of us

    that always apostatized

    despite saying that we

     loved God with our lips.

    The Lord wants us

    to live joyfully.

    But we are always

    anxious and wandering

    in compassion.

    We should recognize

that we are not the ones

    that regard illusions

    as real,

    and live like

    ephemera or fireflies

    and then disappear

    like dust.

    We must earnestly

    desire to become those

    who fight the good fight

    of the faith and take

    on spirituality,

    following the

    righteousness,

    godliness, faith,

    love, patience,

    and gentleness that

    the Lord commands

    us to take.

    It is for this purpose

    that we are called out

    of the world by God

    and drawn out.

    (Ecclesia)

    We must become

    'people of God'

    who live by keeping

    our hearts

    and discerning the

    Father's will so that

    the more sacred

    and godly calls of God

    are not in vain.

    At this time.

    Seek the LORD

    while he may be found;

    you will find him!

    He will endow you

    with splendor.

    (Isa 55:1-13)

    I earnestly hope that

all of us will be able to

    hear the voice of God.

    What will we do when

    we hear the holy

    voice of the Lord?

    - We will definitly

     repent and weep.

    The Holy Spirit will

    be happy to help us

    bear good fruits worthy

    of repentance.

    Therefore,

    let's respond to

    God's call so that

    we can receive

    the title, 'Only you,

    man of God'.

    With the right attitude

    before the Lord,

    like the leaders of faith,

    let's create an opportunity

for all of us to turn to God

    at this time today.

    Prayer

    Lord!

    Until the day when

    I receive the title of

     'Only you, man of God'

    recognized by God,

    keep my heart

    so that I never stray

    from the faith!

    Help me to become

    a sure life that causes

    a change of faith

    - Amen!
