The Correct
Attitude Of Prayer 29
[Psa 141:1-10]
/ Anne’s Faith
column
/ By Priscilla
Today's scriptures
enable us to find
David's attitude
of prayer and his earnest
and honest feelings
toward the Lord
in his prayers.
Each one of us needs
to have a desperate
spirit to pray to the
Lord earnestly
and ask for answers
to our cries like David.
Even when we are
at stake, in a spiritual crisis,
we can see that the Lord
wants each one of u
s to have a pure spirit.
Therefore, we must
awaken from spiritual
hibernation, stop routine
and formal prayer,
and come to God
faithfully and honestly.
God wants us to
be pure, unpolluted
in our inner beings.
We must ask God
to set a guard over
our mouths,
and keep us
from the traps
set by evildoers,
and strongly
ask for desperate
wish for God not to
give us over to death.
The correct attitude
of prayer requires
the act of emptying
our minds toward
God faithfully
and sincerely
and raising
our hands.
It is also important
to protect ourselves,
that is, keep us
from being stained
by evil without
our knowledge.
God tells us to be
honest with Him,
taking off the mask
of hypocrisy that
tries the patience
of God with hypocrisy,
falsehood and deceit.
That way, even if
our environments
are very distressing,
we will be able to
experience the miracle
of receiving answers
when we call out
to God through prayer,
and we will be able
to share communion
with God with joy.
In addition,
no matter what kind
of situation we are in,
God asks us to
consider it
as a kindness,
and to follow David
as an example
of prayer all the time
even during disasters.
To do that,
first of all, let's be
honest believers.
And we should raise
our trust in God
to receive answers
to our cries.
Further,
let's empty our minds
and protect ourselves.
Prayer
Lord!
Please allow us
to know the correct
attitude of prayer,
above all.
Please hear our cries
and guide us into
to a time of miracles
to receive answers
from you in this
moment!
Amen.
