The Love Of God Who
Tolerates Sinners
Endlessly106
[Hos 3:1-5]
/ Anne's Faith Column
/ By Priscilla
God knows our sins
but still loves us.
God told
'Hosea' to marry 'Gomer',
a woman who had committed
adultery and did evil.
Hosea was heartbroken
over the fact that his wife
was a adulterous woman.
However, he bought her
according to God's will.
Through this act of acceptance,
God reminded the Israelites
of their relationship with God.
God's love is beyond the
measure, and wherever we
are, God is merciful to us.
God commanded 'Hosea'
to buy and bring back
his wife again,
whom he had wanted to
break off the relationship
with, and he obeyed to God.
This shows that God wanted
to establish a new relationship
with the Israelites.
To save us sinners,
He paid a high price,
and this makes me thrilled
to think of God's precious
love and grace.
So, when each of us is going
through hard and tough lives,
it gives us a living hope
to think about this love
relationship with God.
God wants us to
stand firm before God.
However, there are times
when we are seduced by the
world again due to our sinful nature
and live intoxicated by the world,
or we are thrown into the world
and suffer from the pessimistic
thought that our lives are
a series of hardships.
God sees through us,
who are vulnerable to sin,
as if through a clear mirror.
Just like the love of 'Hosea'
\who tolerated 'Gomer',
God waits patiently for all
of our spirits, souls, and
bodies to turn to the Lord
and observes us today.
Isn't this what proves to us
and makes us realize the
boundless love that God
tolerates us?
God paid the high price
through the atonement
of His one and only Son,
Jesus Christ, in order to
save us who have
sinful natures.
Therefore,
we must be true children
who fully follow God's grace,
giving thanks only to
God's love.
Then, how should we
live in Jesus Christ now?
1) We must live a changed life
while truly giving thanks
to the Lord who waited
for and tolerated us.
2) We must always remember
that we were once spiritually
like Gomer, and we must
live a humble life.
Prayer
Lord!
I give glory, honor,
and thanks to God,
who saved me who lived
intoxicated by the world
without knowing God
in the past.
Help me to live a life of
obedience by following
only the Lord!
Amen
