    Motivation Intro

    / Anne's Gallery

    / By Priscilla

    In New Zealand

    as a missionary,

    I didn't have any time

    to paint at all because

    I was dedicated to

    the ministry of the Lord.

    Still, I, who majored

    in art in University,

    somehow felt empty

in a part of my life

    and longed for something

to make a change in my life.

    Then one day in 2011,

    in an academy

    where I used to take

    English lessons, I met a

    Russian woman.

    I happened to get some

    information from her

    that an academy

    was being held near

    the exhivition

    at that time.

She asked me if I could

    go to the exhibition

      with her at lunch break.

I was led by her suggestion,

    and after seeing the

    art exhibition that day,

    I enrolled myself at the

    art center and I became

    a full member!

    However, since there

    was no special way

    to get to my dream,

    only my passion for

    the dream was ahead,

    and my circumstance

    was not ready yet.

     My desire for painting was

     nothing but a dream.

    It seemed totally

    impossible for such a

     dream to come true

    in my life!

    One day in 2013,

    surprisingly I received

    a proposal for participation

    in an exhibition from

    the 'WCCAC',

    which I had been

    enrolled after seeing the

    exhibition in 2011.

    At that time, I decided

     to accept the proposal.

    I took out the brush

and the easel that had faded

in dust for a long time,

    and thought a lot

    throughout the

    preparation period,

    while painting.

    At last I could submit

    two abstractions to the

    contest and exhibit

    them for a month.

    It was a harmonious

    exhibition of 38 artists,

    and the scenes that

    unfolded for me,

    first participating

    in a New Zealand

    art exhibition, were

so unique that I felt like

    'Alice in Wonderland.'

    The day before

    the opening, the artists

    who would attend

    the exhibition gathered

    in one place

    and had a simple

    but meaningful time,

    greeting and having

    a good conversation

    each other.

    There was also an

    awards ceremony

    that day.

    After that, we enjoyed

    the live jazz performance

    with the invited families,

    and had a good time

    of communication

    while eating simple

    drinks

    and refreshments

    prepared by the volunteers

    and organizers.

    Once the exhibition

    started, it would be so

    difficult for the artists

    to meet each other,

    so I felt such moments

    would be as precious

    as gold!

    Decades after graduating,

    now I stop the road

    I have been running

    and look to my dream,

    which have been

    indifferent so far.

    I majored in

    'Applied Art'

    in University, but

    that was all.

    Nothing further for it.

    Instead, I have spent years

    with the attitude

    and determination :

    "I will live by applying

      it to my life".

But, I would like to develop

    my talent from now on!

    Now, with passion,

    I will draw pictures

    whenever I have time.

    So someday,

    if possible, I have

    a desire to open my

    exhibition with

    my children!

    I will go for it!!

    I've made up my mind

    to start with all my

    eagerness and passion.

    Won't you be willing to

    encourage me

    wholeheartedly

    who just started

    with a new vision?
