    The Faith of

    'Nevertheless'

    / By Priscilla

    Regardless of where

    we are today as Christians

    and what hardships

    are ahead of us today,

    the religious attitude

    we should have in life

    is probably

    'the faith of nevertheless'.

    As the apostle Paul

    emphasized this faith

    in many parts of the

    New Testament,

    in any situation,

    before blaming any difficult

    circumstances we are

    currently facing,

it is important to check up

    the state of our hearts

    and the perspectives

    of 'seeing.'

    That's because

    our life can be happy

    or unhappy according

      to this.

    Like a

    'dandelion flower'

    that endures well

    in any trials and

     blooms steadily,

    Like 'grass' that

    is strong enough

    no matter how many

    people step on it,

Like a 'sea rock' that is

    solid, no matter how much

the waves and wind strike it,

Be sure to keep in mind

    that because only the

    faithful 'Jesus Christ'

is our refuge, a solid rock,

    and a great comfort,

    even if we fall down

    seven times,

    we can stand up

    courageously once more.

    Even in a recession,

    the reason why we should

    live with warm compassion

    with our neighbors

    who possess poor souls

    can be found in the

    words of the Lord.

    The apostle Paul

    prayed to the Lord

    three times to be

    released from the

    thorn of disease,

    but, we can see

    what the will of the

    Lord is in the

     scriptures below.

    "To keep me from

    becoming conceited

    because of these

    surpassingly great

    revelations,

    there was given me

    a thorn in my flesh,

    a messenger of Satan,

     to torment me.

    Three times

    I pleaded with the Lord

to take it away from me.

    But he said to me,

    "My grace is

    sufficient for you,

    for my power is made

    perfect in weakness."

    Therefore, I will boast

    all the more gladly about

    my weaknesses,

    so that Christ's power

    may rest on me."

    (2 Corinthians 12 : 7-9)

    In addition to the words

    'My grace is sufficient

    for you',

    we can see that

    the Lord's deep will

    for not removing

     the thorns from him

    has been revealed to us

    through His saying,

    'Do not be conceited.'

    Even though today

    there are many factors

    threatening our environment

    and health around us,

    we receive

    the powerful strength

    and comfort from

    the Lord.

    Like a 'roly poly toy',

    which seems to fall down,

    but never fall down',

    even if

    we are hard pressed

    on every side by

    the environment;

    we must hope for

    a reversal of life with

    the faith of '

    nevertheless'

    And also, we will

have to rely on the Lord,

    and move forward

    vigorously.

    / By Priscilla

    As believers,

    the tribulations that

    we face are not different

    from those of non-

    Christians.

    However,

    it is very important

    to choose the way

    we should wisely

    cope with the fiery trials

that come upon us in life.

    As Christians,

    we humans lack the

    capacity to solve our trials.

    but we have a great

    resource to vigorously

    overcome the tsunamis

    and waves that come

    upon our lives.

It is to look to the Lord

    who is 'God of reversal'

    with hope for His

    work on us.
