Faithfulness 99

 [Mal 2:10-16]

We must guard

our heart before God

and must not break faith.

 

It is because God, who is good

and always the same, wants

His faithful character to appear

and remain in us.

 

Although we have one Father

and we are brothers, we cannot

be reconciled with each other

because of sects of doctrine or faith. 

 

However, in reality,

God never wants us to commit

acts that dishonor the covenant

of our ancestors.

 

Therefore,

we must keep in mind that

God truly wants us to honor God

and to live in peace with our

neighbors in the Lord.

 

If there is any detestable act

in front of God: worshiping idols,

doing evil deeds habitually,

 

or dishonoring the

sanctity of God,

 

we should pour out our sins

and come clean before God so

that we can quickly bear fruits

worthy of repentance.

 

Even though there is weeping,

sighing, and lamentation 

in us before God,

 

what will happen

to us if our spirit is not 

completely in the Lord?

 

We will not be praised by God

and will not be free from reproof.

 

There must be closeness

and trust between God and us,

and in the same way,

 

there must be a relationship

based on faithfulness

between people.

 

The sacrifices

offered to the Lord

 

Almighty are not in the form

of the offering itself.

 

It is in the circumcision

and sincerity of the heart

offered to God, in the willing

spirit and broken spirit,

 

in the mourning spirit and

in the thirsty and poor spirit.

 

It is a sacrifice of thanksgiving

to glorify God with such an

attitude of heart.

 

This is exactly

what God wants us to do.

 

So what should we do for this?

 

1) As written in the Scriptures,

we must quickly get away from

the sins exposed to the families

of the Israelites.  

 

2) We must keep the covenant

of marriage as a couple.

 

3) We must always be close to

the Word so as not to do

wrong before God.

 

4) We must live a life that

accompanies the Holy Spirit.

 

Therefore,

 

we must constantly pray that

our relationship with God

will never change.

 

Prayer

 

Faithful Lord!

Always keep me from falling

into sin, always accompany me

so that I do not fall into a snare,

and lead me in faithfulness.

 

 

Amen
