    The Worker Without

    Shame 37

     [1 Tim 2:8-15]

    / Anne's Faith Column

    / By pastor Priscilla

    The role of a worker

    without shame is to realize

    what each one of us

    has to do

    and to carry out our

    work well in Christ.

    When we think about Jesus

who was patient for the elect,

    and also his disciple

    'Apostle Paul',

    we see true salvation

    come with eternal glory,

    and we feel truly grateful.

    On the other hand,

    considering Peter's

    confession that he

    would die with the Lord

    and live with the Lord,

    and his successive mistakes,

    we also admit to ourselves

    that we are too weak

    in the flesh to act

    according to our resolutions

    and confessions even if

    we follow the Lord

    with our lips.

    "Here is a trustworthy

    saying that deserves

    full acceptance:

    Christ Jesus came into

    the world to save sinners-

-of whom I am the worst."

    (1 Timothy 1 : 15)

    This confession

    of the Apostle Paul

    above is the same

    for us.

    Although they were weak,

    the Apostle Paul exhorted

    all those who received

    the Lord's grace to

    become leaders,

    regardless of gender,

    to perform their duties

    in the church with

    good deeds and

    obedience.

    The apostle Paul

    wanted men to pray

    with holy hands raised

    without anger

    or disputing,

    especially when

    each one of men was

    in charge of each various

    office in the church.

    "I want men everywhere

    to lift up holy hands

    in prayer, without

    anger or disputing."

    (1 Tim 2 : 8)

    Indeed, these words

    of the Apostle Paul

    are very challenging for

all of us today in the

    community of the Church,

    given that we as workers

    have a lot in common

    with all who are called

    leaders of the Church

     today.

    Whenever there is

    a problem in everything,

    because we are immature,

    we cannot persevere

    in faith until the end,

    or we end up with

    ashamful doings

    and many mistakes that

    occur because we are

    busy with our thoughts

    and fail to pray

    to the Lord first.

    And then,  like the disciples

of Jesus, we soon regret it.

    The Bible speaks of

    shameful things like this:

    In particular,

    the apostle Paul's

    exhortation makes

    us more silent.

    "Do your best to present

    yourself to God as one

    approved,

    a workman who does not

    need to be ashamed

    and who correctly handles

    the word of truth."

    (2 Tim 2 : 15)

    It really requires an act

    of first praying to God,

     and then of obedience.

    If we do things

    without God's wisdom,

    we may be immature

    and unexpectedly

    make many unwanted

    mistakes in front of

    God and people.

    Therefore,

    in deep communion

    with God, we must pray

    every moment to become

    workers without shame,

    who hear His small

    voice and then act.

    1) No matter how urgent

it may be, we must pray

    to the Lord first and

    then act.

    This is because

    we need to cultivate

    spiritual discernment

    for the Word of God.

    Also, this is because

we need to follow the will

    of the Lord without

     committing rash acts.

    2) Think first of what

    Jesus would do if he

      were in my situation!

    In any situation,

it is the wisest method to

    solve with the wisdom

    of the Lord.

    3) We must first pray for

the will of the Lord and

    mine to coincide.

    At this time,

    we need an attitude

    to follow the will

    of the Lord, not to

    insist on our own.

    However,

    all of this must be

    accompanied by

    'the total grace of

    Jesus Christ'.

    On this premise,

    we must live a perfect

    life of faith and always

    remember that our

    shameful acts will

    never end without the

    help of the Holy Spirit,

    and we must diligently

    raise our holy hands

    and ask the Lord.

    Prayer

    Lord, grant us spiritual

    discernment always,

    so that we may not

    become shameful

    workers, and grant us

    Your wisdom!

    We return the

    commanding authority

    of our lives to You.

    Please accept our

    hearts to follow

    You alone!

    Amen
