The event
began with a showcase
of unique performances,
each representing the traditional
attire of the Essoonic Group,
which was composed of
pre-selected countries
across the South Pacific,
including Korea.
The opening ceremony was
celebrated in vibrant fashion,
while the closing was marked
by a communal feast,
ending on a high note as
attendees looked forward to 2025
The theme
we focused on this year is:
BUILD - Rebuilding.
Scripture Reference:
Nehemiah 2:17-18
“Then I said to them,
‘You see the trouble we are in:
Jerusalem lies in ruins,
and its gates have been
burned with fire.
Come, let us rebuild
the wall of Jerusalem,
and we will no
longer be in disgrace.’
I also told them about the
gracious hand of my God upon me
and what the king had said to me.
They replied, ‘Let us start rebuilding.’
So they began this good work.”
(Neh 2:17-18)
The spiritual meaning of
rebuilding the fallen temple
resonated throughout all
of our ministry,
as God is renewing and
rebuilding the old, while
He intends to plant and
establish new grounds.
With the help of the Holy Spirit,
the conference event scheduled
for 2024 began as God appointed
selected workers to form a group
and prepare for the
Daniel 21 prayer meeting.
The attitude
towards the programs
was earnest and sincere,
with the performances
being particularly outstanding
this year, according to
general consensus.
This was possible because,
first, rehearsals were organized
well in advance, teams were
formed,
and the event was carried out
in relay form, preventing
unnecessary delays.
During the programs,
the Holy Spirit wisely allocated time
and guided everything smoothly,
which captured the attention
of the participants.
The event progressed
according to schedule,
and the well planned programs
made effective use of time.
The structure was simple,
and everything ran smoothly,
leading to a fresh wind of change,
which had not been seen
in past conferences.
It became clear that
the movement through
the Assemblies of God
denomination was being led
by the Holy Spirit in a
meaningful way.
The morning prayer meetings
were fervent, with pastors
shedding tears as they prayed
for the churches, pastors, nations,
and people groups.
The participants formed
prayer groups, and on the last day,
representatives from ten nations
stood at the altar to lead the prayers,
which drew more attention to the event.
This was not just a formal
event or a prayer meeting.
It was a time of sincere prayer,
where participants felt the direct
guidance of the Holy Spirit.
I would like to emphasize
how we experienced the fervent heat
of collective prayer, united in spirit.
For the conference, all volunteers
—especially those at the reception,
the kitchen, parking,
and the 8 musicians and 8 singers
—served faithfully, and through them,
God opened hearts and helped people
turn their eyes toward Him.
The executive members
of the hosting denomination,
the speakers, and the event organizers
were brought together in one place.
Despite differences in appearance
and personality, they served with joy
and responsibility,
and I thank God for allowing them
to be recognized for their dedicated
work in quiet corners.
Lastly, the communion ceremony,
though simple, was conducted
meaningfully without focusing
on rituals or formality.
The bread and wine were
prepared ahead of time for the
participants, allowing for a quick
and wise use of the tools
during the ceremony.
It left a deep and impactful
impression, and I was moved
by the meaningful celebration
of the sacrament.
How detailed God is!
As a result, I felt even more
grateful and focused on Jesus.
I thank God for allowing this
event to proceed safely.
Amen.
