True Peace113

[Hos 10:1-8]

 / Anne's Faith Column

/ By Priscilla

" Their heart is deceitful,

and now they must bear

their guilt.

The LORD will demolish

their altars and destroy

their sacred stones."

(Hosea 10:2)

Through today's scripture,

we are told that the prosperous

people of Israel became deceitful,

and the glory of God departed

from them and eventually

reached the path of

destruction.

The heart of Israelites

was deceitful before God.

Even though they experienced

God's favor, they forgot God

and led themselves down

the path of destruction.

As they increased in number

and prospered, they quickly

forgot God and became

intoxicated with

self-satisfaction.

Today, we, who claim to be

children of God, must look back

to see if we are committing

such a sin.

Didn't we reveal ourselves

and go to God along with

arrogant acts?

Could it be that we feel

that worship is stale?

Why do we fall into

absurd formalism?

Are there times when we feel

the leaders of worship as well

as worship itself are secular?

Abundance is always along

with corruption,

and if we don't keep watch,

we will fall into the path

of corruption before

we know it.

Those whose heart is deceitful

before God can not avoid

destruction in the end.

The end of those who live

apart from God is nothing

but a tragedy.

Realizing the truth of the Lord,

we must cast off doctrines

and formalities and destroy

humanistic elements in

order to protect us.

In the end, a deceitful

heart only causes chaos.

The idea that we can create

stable positions and conditions

on our own is reckless.

Therefore,

we must establish

a correct understanding

of worship and pray for the

restoration of worship.

What should we do to

enjoy true peace in God?

1) We must be careful not to

prefer anything over God.

2) We must trust

God wholeheartedly.

3) We must watch and pray

so that our heart may not be

deceitful  before God.

Sharing fellowship with God,

we must not lose our minds on

the customs and trends

of the world.

Prayer

Lord!

Please protect my heart from

being deceitful before God.

So, may God's blessings be

along with me all the time,

and my heart always be

sensitive toward You,

so that I may not

deviate from Your love!

Let the peace of the Lord

rule my heart so that my

heart may not be deceitful

  before God.

Amen
