Acknowledge God 107

[Hos 4:1-5]

 / Anne's Faith Column

/ By Priscilla

If we turn away from God,

our lives will never be happy.

God's rebuke to

God's chosen people, Israelite,

is an expression of how much

God loves them.

Nevertheless,

ignoring God's great loving

care and His grace, the Israelites,

gradually went astray from the

knowledge of God.

Eventually they led a life of

choosing a fallen world,

consistently living a life

unrelated to God.

Prophets and priests,

who claimed to be spiritual

leaders at the time, staggered

and led the people in a state

of confusion,

and all the crowds together

did not hesitate to commit

sin before God at all.

How much agony and regret

did God have toward us His

creatures since he created

 the heavens and the earth?

Regarding this, God laments:

"There is no faithfulness,

no love, no acknowledgment

of God in the land.

There is only cursing, lying

and murder, stealing and

adultery; they break all bounds,

and bloodshed follows bloodshed.

Because of this, the land mourns,

and all who live in it waste away;

the beasts of  the field

and the birds of the air and

the fish of the sea are dying."

(Hosea 4:1-3)

God does not lie at all.

He's faithful and loves

man without end.

God repeatedly

told His chosen children,

"If you truly repent and

stop doing evil, I will forgive

you and restore you."

However,

they were rebellious,

hardened, and foolish,

and would not listen to Him.

To those who were on

the path of destruction,

God declared that they

would perish in the future.

Therefore, at this time,

as children of God,

we must rely more on God

and guard our hearts so that

we may not become arrogant

in the knowledge of God.

In addition,

in order to have an intimate

relationship with God, we must

go back to the moment when

we met the Lord for the first time,

remember 'the emotion

of first love' and the first

pure heart, and serve

and obey the Lord.

Then, how should we

acknowledge God in our lives?

1) We must follow and trust

God as purely as a child.

2) We must save time

and live meaningfully by

asking God for discernment

to know the times.

3) We must keep the Word

of God and do what is right.

Prayer.

Lord of love and justice!

Every day, I confess and

acknowledge with my lips

that You alone are my savior,

my fortress, my shield,

and everything.

As the days go by,

I want to live in You,

trusting You more

and more.

Please

accept my heart!

Amen
