The Human Side Of

The Old Aged Apostle52

/ Do Your Best To

Come To Me Quickly

[2Tim 4: 9-15]

The human side of the

old aged Apostle Paul,

who can't wait to see

'Timothy', makes me

feel closer to him.

Also, I feel deep

sympathy for Paul,

who shows the human side

of asking Timothy, his dear son

in the faith, whom Paul

raised spiritually,

to do private things

rather than spiritual things.

After 'Elijah' performed

God's great miracle

and destroyed the

remnants of Baal,

as soon as he heard

the news that 'Jezebel' was

chasing being out for his blood,

he ran away immediately.

And when he was trembling

in fear, and ready to die,

God gave him a 'broom tree',

gave him rest and God

used him again.

Each one of us is an

instrument that God

uses for good works

and is the weapon of

righteousness.

However, as children

of God, we all realize

that we are fragile beings

like jars of clay that

are easily broken,

and I think we need to

acknowledge the fact

at all times.

After he met with Jesus,

Paul was faithful to Him

with all his heart

and risked the rest

of his life to testify of the

'message of the cross'

and 'Jesus Christ'.

However, he was not

only a great servant

with a mission,

but also a warm-hearted

man who  showed his

weakness before the Lord.

"When I am weak,

then I am strong."

He expressed this

in the Scriptures and

naturally revealed

human weakness

through freedom!

When I see the inside

of the old aged Apostle

who was willing  to give

himself to God who had

sympathy for Paul's

weakness,

I feel closer to him

and look at him with a new

attitude and perspective.

We humans cannot avoid

interpersonal relationships.

Because each one of us

is endowed a unique character,

we each have our own thoughts,

personalities, and rooted

ideas and beliefs,

and their methodologies

also have various aspects.

'Demas' tried to find satisfaction

by returning to the world.

'Apostle Paul' was also

a co-worker with 'Barnabas',

but because of Barnabas'

nephew 'Mark', the two went

their separate ways,

and his love for Timothy

who was the son in the faith

must have been stronger.

How inspiring is it to be able

to have conversations

with people who have

the same faith while

living a religious life,

and to actually share

life with each other?

God, who hears even

our groans, works through

the people around us

whenever we feel

discouraged, exhausted,

and tired in our lives.

God guides us so that

we can look at Him alone,

who exhorts us through

 people and raises us up.

We come to realize

with emotion that

He makes us a channel

of blessing

and leads our lives

so that we can meet the

 people we need.

Therefore, when God

gives us another

 understanding,

can we not give thanks

to the Lord again and move

forward step by step?

Going beyond human

loneliness, we will have

to change our daily lives

into moments of life

that further strengthen

our relationship with God

and with people.

Prayer

Thank you Lord.

Watching in hope for you

in silence, I know that I'm

guided closer to you.

Sometimes when

loneliness strikes me,

allow me to meet with

you, the Creator!

Help me to find true

co-workers from the

Lord around me!

Amen
